Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book my makeup artist and/or hairstylist for my wedding?

As soon as you have a wedding date confirmed! Weddings are typically booked a year or more in advance, and dates book up quickly (summer and early fall weekend weddings, especially).

What do I have to do to reserve my date?

Fill out an inquiry form with as much detail as you can- contact information, wedding date, “getting ready” location, an estimate of how many people you will need services for, and if you are looking for hair, makeup or both. If you don’t have all the details yet, that’s okay! The most important thing is the date and general location. Once I receive your inquiry, I will review your request and let you know if I am available!

What's next?

If I am available, I will email you a copy of my bridal contract for review. If you have any questions after reviewing the contract, I am happy to answer! Once you sign the contract, I require a $50 nonrefundable deposit to secure your date. This is taken off your total the day of. Once I have received your deposit, your day is secured. Your date is not reserved until I receive the deposit!

I have a huge bridal party, and we all want hair and makeup - what do I do?

I have artists that I frequently work with who I can reach out to, who can work with me in beautifying your party. I personally like to schedule each standard service as 45-minute time slots. If you or anyone in your party chooses the ultra-glam makeup application, Old Hollywood Wave hairstyle or has clip-in extensions they want to add to their style, more time will be required. For this reason, I prefer not to complete more than 7-8 services per day by myself. I can also bring in my assistant.

Can you travel to our “getting ready” location? Who can have hair and makeup done?

Absolutely, I am happy to travel. I include 40 miles, round trip from my home in Hamburg, NY, and anything further is 50 cents per mile. Anyone who is in the wedding party, or who is attending the wedding, can have their hair and makeup done.

What is a bridal consultation, and should I schedule one?

A bridal consultation is an appointment, where we do a run through of your look, get to know each other, discuss day of timeline, and address any additional concerns. You can book your bridal trial the same day that you send your deposit! The cost of the bridal trial is not due until the day of the trial and is separate from the cost of your services the day of the wedding. I strongly recommend that every bride books a consultation, because it gives you peace of mind! Additionally, anyone looking to have any beauty services done the day of the wedding can book a consultation. If the consultations are done on different days and at different locations, travel fees apply separately.
